Job Description

Team Lead, Solutions Engineering

Absorb

Role Description We’re looking for a hands-on Team Lead to coach and develop Solution Engineers across a globally distributed team. You’ll lead the EMEA SE group and manage a small number of North America–based SEs to support consistent global coverage. Our SEs partner with both New Logo and Existing Client sales teams, working closely with AEs and AMs throughout the sales cycle. This team supports opportunities across multiple EMEA markets and benefits from a strong understanding of regional security, data privacy, and compliance considerations. You’ll guide customers through product fit, technical requirements, and long-term adoption of Absorb LMS—while coaching SEs on effective demos and accurate technical scoping. What you’ll do: - Coach SEs on demo delivery, solution design, technical discovery, and accurate scoping. - Support trials, deep-dive technical conversations, and integration workflows. - Maintain expertise in Absorb LMS, add-ons (eCommerce, Analyze, Create, Engage, Infuse, Skills), and core integration patterns (HCM, SSO, API, data connectors). - Act as the technical escalation point for complex product, data, or configuration questions. - Equip SEs to confidently address EMEA-specific security, privacy, and compliance topics (e.g., GDPR, data residency, procurement/InfoSec processes). - Improve SE processes, coverage models, and best practices across regions. - Partner with Sales, AM, Product, Technical Services, and Implementation to streamline handoffs and enhance customer outcomes. - Contribute to SE onboarding, playbooks, and enablement—especially for EMEA use cases. - Work closely with SMB Sales Leadership to ensure alignment on AE–SE workflows. - Act as the first point of escalation for technical questions, deal blockers, and scoping concerns. - Provide structured feedback to Product, TS, and Implementation. - Guide SEs on how to communicate technical concepts to non-technical buyers. - Maintain and improve internal documentation for connectors, integration FAQs, and add-on playbooks. - Promote peer learning around scoping patterns, common pitfalls, and use-case guidance. - Collaborate with Product Champions and SE leadership to strengthen technical enablement. - Support ongoing improvements to scoping templates, connector guides, and technical toolkits. Qualifications - Proven experience as a customer-facing solutions professional, with strong technical expertise in LMS and/or SaaS environments. - Solid understanding of EMEA security and data protection requirements, including GDPR, data residency, and standard vendor assessment processes. - Confidence engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders on APIs, SSO, HCM integrations, and Absorb add-ons. - A coaching mindset that builds capability, elevates team performance, and drives continuous improvement. - Clear, persuasive communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and collaborate closely with AEs and AMs throughout the sales cycle. - A hands-on, proactive approach, ready to support calls or opportunities when additional expertise is needed. Requirements - Stronger Solutions Engineer performance and confidence across demos and technical validation. - Improved win rates, client retention, and expansion outcomes in SMB and Core AM. - Clear, consistent SE processes and fewer technical blockers for sales reps and customers. Additional preferred qualifications: - A combination of technical background and client-facing sales support experience, ideally supporting Enterprise clients or large organizations. - Experience in SaaS, software sales, or sales support, with exposure to Enterprise-level contracts, solution selling, or complex deal structures. What we offer: - Fully remote-first work with flexible work arrangements. - Comprehensive Health and Wellness Benefits including retirement savings programs, eligibility for two different bonus plans, generous time off, comprehensive medical and dental benefits based on your country of location. - New Hire Equipment Allowance and monthly Flex Allowance to support your success. - Endless opportunity for career growth and internal mobility. - Employee driven DE&I programs.
