Facilities Engineer – Technician

Ryz Labs

• Maintain and optimize critical infrastructure (HVAC, electrical, and BMS). • Ensure efficient, reliable operations. • Troubleshoot issues. • Operate and maintain HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems (CRAC/CRAH, chillers, UPS, PDUs, switchgear, generators). • Monitor facilities via BMS/DCIM; respond to alarms and performance deviations. • Perform preventive/corrective maintenance and execute SOP/MOP/EOPs. • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues; conduct root-cause analysis and implement fixes. • Manage vendor/contractor work, service windows, and LOTO/safety permits. • Maintain documentation, logs, compliance records, and reports.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years in data center or critical facilities operations.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, and controls/BMS.
  • Experience with CMMS, test equipment, and maintenance best practices.
  • Understanding of redundancy, capacity, and reliability (N/N+1/2N).
  • Safety-focused; knowledge of NFPA 70/70E and OSHA; able to work shifts/on-call.
  • Certifications a plus: EPA 608, CFC, OSHA 30, CDCDP/CDCEP.
