Principal Architect
STARLIMS
• Define, drive, and help to implement the technical roadmap across STARLIMS Engineering teams. • Provide technical direction for product architecture, system design, scalability, and security. • Oversee the delivery of high-quality software products on time and within budget. • Implement engineering processes and methodologies that optimize productivity and quality. • Help recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent. • Own engineering KPIs, metrics, and reporting to ensure transparency and accountability.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of engineering experience with at least 5 years in a Principal Architect role.
- Proven track record of helping to lead large-scale engineering teams and delivering complex products.
- Strong technical foundation in software development, architecture, cloud infrastructure, and modern engineering practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in helping to scale engineering organizations in a high-growth or enterprise environment.
- Defining / executing technical roadmap.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a strategic mindset.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages and concepts including: TSQL, PL SQL JavaScript, C#, HTML5, jQuery NET Framework, JavaScript Frameworks. Data structures and algorithms. Source control systems: Git/TFVC. Performance and Scalability patterns. Software Architecture. CI/CD knowledge. Ability to work cross-functionally / globally.
