Software Engineer – Front-end

Loft

• Solve problems autonomously, asking for help whenever necessary. • Take ownership of the entire development cycle, maintaining the quality of applications. • Actively participate in product decisions (from discovery to production) with the goal of delivering more value to customers. • Work in a collaborative environment, supporting others and being supported. • Ensure solution quality through automated tests. • Document the work performed. • Identify improvements and opportunities in the products. • Be able to handle uncertainty and embrace change. • Work independently and lead tasks end-to-end. • Exert technical influence over the engineering team by improving and guiding architecture. • Contribute to reducing the complexity of the development process. • Work closely with Product team members, translating business needs into creative, elegant, incremental, and efficient solutions. • Design and develop components and applications with simplicity, efficiency, maintainability, and code reuse in mind. • Ensure documentation of applications and architectural decisions. • Ensure observability of applications in production and participate in incident resolution. • Actively analyze and improve the scalability, stability, and security of applications. • Take ownership of end-to-end projects. • Strong collaboration skills to remove any blockers you may face. • Keep up to date with web development trends, frameworks, and best practices, and recommend improvements to enhance development processes.

  • Strong track record in web development with a focus on front-end.
  • System design and code design patterns.
  • Development of responsive, high-quality web applications.
  • SEO principles.
  • Microfrontend architecture.
  • Browser fundamentals, rendering strategies, API design, and BFF (Backend for Frontend) development.
  • System observability.
  • Relational and non-relational databases.
  • Automated software testing techniques.
  • Reusable, modular components that promote code reuse, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Agile methodologies and a startup mindset.
  • Decision-making using metrics and data.
  • Excellent communication skills and an inclusive approach to decision-making.
  • Cloud service-based architectures.
  • High-load (concurrency) optimizations and migrations/refactoring.
  • DevSecOps tools and practices, integrating security into development workflows and fostering a DevOps culture.
