Field Engineer

• The Field Engineer acts as the bridge between engineering, operations, commercial, and quality teams • Leading the design and delivery of scalable technical solutions • Developing automations and integrations using Python and JavaScript • Improving data and workflow quality • Advising both technical and non-technical teams • Serving as a subject-matter expert in operational efficiency through technology • Designing and building technical solutions, including internal tools, scripts, and automations • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify pain points and translate them into actionable engineering tasks • Troubleshooting and optimizing platform integrations
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of engineering experience
- Technical experience in Python, JavaScript, or another relevant language for automations, integrations and scripting
- Experience working with APIs, data pipelines, and automation frameworks
- Bachelor's degree with an engineering or analytics focused field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics) or equivalent work experience
- Hands-on experience in ML lifecycle applications, data management, and data wrangling

• Install, support, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all Intuitive products • Perform scheduled maintenance activities including inspections, preventive maintenance, software updates, and upgrades • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all Intuitive products within specified timeframes • Coordinate and perform system and hardware delivery and installation • Complete all administrative duties including Spare parts inventory, Field Activity Reports, and Expense Reports • Maintain all Intuitive provided items such as tooling and vehicles • Support Intuitive teams to facilitate company objectives • Complete required training items and maintain aspects of the assigned territory
• Hire and develop a team of deeply technical field engineers capable of guiding AI native customers across a wide range of data, analytical, and AI workloads. • Adapt the team's skills and engagement model to match the needs of digital and AI native customers • Consistently meet or exceed targets by making sure the team knows how to technically qualify workloads, identify important use cases, build proof of concepts, and establish themselves as trusted advisors throughout the customer life-cycle • Travel to customer sites for executive sessions, technical workshops, and building relationships • Establish relationships across internal organizations (engineering, product, services, sales, etc.) to ensure the success of the customers and team • Stay current with emerging Data and AI trends in the digital native tech sector
• Work within hospital environment to evaluate and troubleshoot Patient Care Solutions (PCS) equipment issues and implement appropriate repairs. • Complete Planned/Preventative Maintenance on designated equipment. • Perform safety and environmental inspections ensuring compliance to Health and Human Services and Environmental Health and Safety guidelines. • Complete necessary service and repair documentation following hospital protocol and GEHC policies & procedures. • Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction. • Learn and ensure proper care of tools and test equipment and ensure calibration. • Enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes and procedures regarding safe and effective use of medical equipment. • Mentor with and assist more experienced technicians on progressive repairs and resolution, and will work as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within his/her assigned area. • Complete all planned Quality and Compliance training within the defined deadlines. • Identify and report any and all customer quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization. • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
