Role Description The Piping Engineering & Analysis discipline performs evaluations for piping systems in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.7, and other codes as applicable to the specific evaluation being performed. The Piping Engineering & Analysis discipline also performs the following specialty topics: - Vibration monitoring and analysis to evaluate system operational vibrations associated with plant modifications and operating events, and to provide vibration prevention and mitigation solutions and designs. - Evaluation of hydraulic transients, evaluation of piping systems for thermal stratification effects, operability evaluations, and qualification of piping for hydrodynamic loads. - Pipe rupture evaluations, evaluation of pipe wall thinning due to flow accelerated corrosion (FAC) or microbiological induced corrosion (MIC), and pipe flaw evaluations. Provides senior-level technical support by performing a variety of engineering tasks such as preparing and reviewing calculations and designs of a complex nature. On a task basis, is responsible for the preparation and completion of discipline engineering designs that are responsive to project needs. Monitors the work of assigned staff to ensure requirements are met. Senior-Level staff support engineering design projects with the following responsibilities: - Prepares and reviews complex calculations. - Reviews simple system/structural designs and prepares complex system designs. - Prepares documented design input for drawing production (i.e., P&IDs and Master Diagrams). Reviews design input for simple system/structures. Performs engineering review of drawings. - Prepares and reviews equipment specifications. Prepares material specifications. - Prepares bid evaluations for systems and larger components. Prepares calculations to support economic evaluations. Solicits data from vendors. - Prepares and reviews simple reports/studies. - Develops single-discipline/simple-scope project budgets, schedules, and project work plans. Monitors own work to ensure it is completed within budget and on schedule. - Provides single-discipline input to simple proposals. - Uses effective written and oral communication skills to convey information to project team members and managers. Presents written technical information in a clear and concise manner in all deliverables. - Prepares reports and deliverables that are clearly understood and meet client requirements. Communicates clearly in meetings with client, and summarizes meeting notes in a clear and timely manner. Qualifications - BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Aerospace, or Structural/Civil Engineering, from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program, with an emphasis in solid mechanics, structural analysis, theory of elasticity, metallurgy, and finite element analysis. - 5 or more years of relevant experience. - Must have knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME B&PV Section III piping codes. - Knowledge of the design, selection, and application of pipe supporting elements. - Working knowledge of commercially available piping products and their application. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. Requirements - P.E. license (valued but not required). - Working knowledge of commercially available piping products and their application. - The ability to navigate a 3D CAD model. - Experience with AutoPIPE or PIPESTRESS software. - Knowledge of gas dynamics and hydraulic transients. - Knowledge of pipe condition assessment. - Experience with ANSYS Workbench and Mechanical ADP. • Designing and/or integrating IP for Intel's Custom Silicon solutions. • Working or assisting in architecture, design, implementation, formal verification, emulation and validation. • Creating a design to produce key assets that help improve product KPIs for discrete graphics products. • Working with SoC Architecture and platform architecture teams to establish silicon requirements. • Making appropriate design trade off balancing risk, area, power, performance, validation complexity and schedule. • Creating micro architectural specification document for the design. • Working with external vendors on tools or IPs required for the development of micro-architecture, design and design qualification of custom silicon designs. • Driving vendor's methodology to meet world class silicon design standards. • Architecting area and power efficient low latency designs with scalabilities and flexibilities. • Power and Area efficient RTL logic design and DV support. • Running tools to ensure lint-free and CDC/RDC clean design, VCLP. • Synthesis and timing constraints. • Reviews the verification plan and implementation to ensure design features are verified correctly and resolves and implements corrective measures for failing RTL tests to ensure correctness of features.

• Oversee and review HVAC and fire protection designs developed by external engineering firms for fuel-cycle facilities (hot cells, gloveboxes, UF₆ processes, radiological labs) • Verify contractor deliverables—including drawings, calculations, specifications, and analyses—for technical accuracy, code compliance, and alignment with the facility safety basis. • Ensure contractor adherence to NQA-1, configuration control, design verification, and nuclear QA documentation requirements. • Evaluate design approaches for pressure cascades, confinement ventilation, HEPA filtration, exhaust/airflow management, and hazard-classified fire protection systems. • Provide clear technical direction, comments, and resolution guidance to contractors and ensure timely incorporation of design changes. • Coordinate between internal stakeholders (safety basis, operations, QA, procurement, I&C, electrical) and contract engineering firms to maintain design integration. • Participate in design reviews, readiness assessments, and constructability evaluations as the facility’s technical authority. • Communicate with contractors, project managers, and internal stakeholders effectively and professionally. • Document decisions, design basis changes, and comment resolutions accurately for audit-ready traceability. • Maintain oversight of multiple contractor design packages, comment cycles, and submittals. • Track deadlines, milestones, design maturity, and revision control. • Provide clear, actionable feedback to external firms while maintaining schedule, quality, and scope alignment.
