Job Requirements

- Strong logical reasoning, analytical mindset, and clear communication with non-technical teams.
- Knowledge of Python, R, or machine learning tools (a plus).
- Advanced English (a plus).

This role is central to how we understand performance, identify opportunities, and drive meaningful improvement across our Medicaid and Medicare populations. As the Healthcare Data Associate, you will play a pivotal role in translating complex healthcare data into insights that inform strategy, improve quality outcomes, and support decision-making across the organization. You’ll work closely with Quality, Technology, Market Operations, and leadership teams to strengthen performance across multiple states. - Lead data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities across quality metrics, including HEDIS. - Develop clear, visually compelling reports and dashboards to support quality, compliance, and executive decision-making. - Partner with Quality Operations teammates to surface performance insights, outliers, and improvement opportunities. - Collaborate with Technology partners to streamline data pipelines and enhance analytic capabilities. - Maintain and evolve standardized reporting templates to ensure consistency across clients and markets. - Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of all analytics and reporting outputs. - Identify opportunities to standardize and automate recurring analytics workflows, supporting scalability. - Support learning and iteration by analyzing results from pilots, feature launches, and workflow changes. Qualifications - 5+ years of progressive experience as a data analyst in a healthcare environment. - At least 2 years of hands-on SQL experience, including complex queries and data validation. - Strong experience with quality reporting and HEDIS performance analysis; risk adjustment knowledge preferred. - Experience working with clinical data such as EHR, claims, pharmacy, or population health datasets. - Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED, LOINC). - Working knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy requirements. - Proven ability to analyze healthcare data, generate insights, and make thoughtful recommendations. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data for diverse audiences. - Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort managing multiple priorities. - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. - Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, evolving environment. Salary and Benefits The expected salary range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000 , based on experience and alignment with role expectations. In addition to base compensation, we offer a competitive equity package, comprehensive health benefits, and flexible work arrangements. What You'll Do Translate technical specifications into meaningful information for multiple user roles. Research request from customers and work to find reasonable solutions in a timely manner Develop, design, and validate extracts used for interface between external customers. What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field and 4+ years of analytics experience including SQL; OR 6+ years of healthcare analytics experience and 4+ years of SQL experience (in lieu of degree). 4+ years of Epic experience with one or more of the following: Clarity, Caboodle, Clinical, Access, Revenue Cycle, Healthy Planet, and/or Compass Rose data models. Proficiency in T‑SQL and experience writing and optimizing queries in Microsoft SQL Server. Familiarity with Epic Cogito, Cogito SQL frameworks, and core healthcare analytics concepts. Strong understanding of relational database design, schemas, and best practices. Ability to design, develop, and validate data extracts for downstream interfaces and external systems. Demonstrated ability to investigate customer requests, perform root‑cause analysis, and define timely, practical solutions. Skilled in selecting appropriate tools, methods, and techniques for data review, validation, and analysis. Strong attention to detail in documentation, data quality, and testing.
