Finance Transformations Project Manager
Samsara
• Drive projects impacting our ERP, Salesforce, and compensation systems, working closely with external and internal teams to meet deadlines • Employ standard project management practices and tools to independently drive projects toward execution, coordinate stakeholders, and manage accountability • Spearhead the implementation of new software tools, including requirements gathering, testing, reporting, and hyper care • Partner with the business technology team to reflect business needs in system design • Oversee and manage UAT, including the creation of scripts, conducting testing, results documentation, reviewing and responding to issues • Closely collaborate with our Accounting, Business Operations,and US Finance functions to ensure we are always putting the customer first • Establish close working relationships with the larger Finance and Accounting teams, developing a deep understanding of all job functions to ensure items are routed to the correct team at the get-go • Create reports in ERP and Salesforce to assist with reporting and meet requests of the team • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of professional work experience with 4+ years experience in a project management or operations role, with a history of leading initiatives
- Possess familiarity in finance processes and systems with analytical and problem-solving skills to drive project implementations
- Experience working on projects supporting Compensation teams and accounting/finance systems
- Demonstrated understanding of established project management practices and tools
- A detail-oriented, high-energy, positive disposition and excellent communication skills
- Proven track record of sound judgment calls, taking ownership, and delivering results
- A demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects
- Fluent in written and verbal English
