• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair services on our Proteomic systems located at customer sites. • Troubleshoot instrument hardware and software, often under challenging conditions. • Contribute to high-value service-related procedures and documents. • Identify areas for product and process improvement and communicate these accordingly. • Adopt and leverage our CRM business policies, procedures, and reporting. • Upwards of 60% travel is routinely required on both a scheduled and unscheduled basis.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree (BS) in Science or Engineering discipline required
- 3+ years of industry experience in the service and/or support of analytical instruments
- Technical support/service experience preferred
- Substantial working knowledge of optical, electrical and mechanical sub-systems
- Expertise in employing root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
- Prior work with Life Science instrumentation, especially Mass Spectrometers is highly desirable
- Salesforce.com / ServiceMax familiarity a plus
- Strong communication skills, with business‑level proficiency in English.

• Responsible for the installation and service of OEM medical devices which will include electrical, mechanical and software components. • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance, unplanned maintenance and perform any required equipment upgrades. • Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through service excellence. • Ensure accurate and timely completion of records of all installations and deinstallations, repairs and maintenance and of all regulatory compliance paperwork. • Train customers on basic operation and use of medical devices. • Manage inventory, keep accurate records, and return unused and failed parts promptly. • Perform PM’s on time, provide expeditious on-site response and minimize equipment downtime. • Respond to customer inquiries in written form (with managerial approval), in person, or via telephone as needed. • Escalate customer issues and unresolved product problems to service management in a comprehensive and timely manner. • Promote service contract offerings and assist Sales in selling service agreements to customers within your assigned territory. • Provide on-call service coverage on a rotating basis, as needed.
• The Field Service Engineer represents Shellback Semiconductor Technology at customer semiconductor fabrication facilities across EMEA. • This role supports the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and upgrade of Shellback wet processing platforms, including PLC-controlled wafer processing systems and their integrated heater assemblies, DI water distribution modules, and safety interlock subsystems. • The position requires direct engagement with customer engineering and production teams to diagnose electrical, electronic, and control-related issues, restore equipment performance, and support stable wafer processing operations. • Travel across EMEA is required and may account for up to 70% of working time, including occasional weekend assignments. • International travel to Shellback headquarters may also be required for technical training and certification.
