Inventory Manager, Planner – Perishables

Hireframe

• Own inventory planning, forecasting, and replenishment for short shelf-life products • Build and maintain production schedules and demand forecasts • Track inventory levels, rate of sale, yields, expirations, and risk flags • Identify operational risks early (stock-outs, excess inventory, aging product) • Own and manage Airtable as the core operations system • Maintain clean, accurate, and structured operational data • Build dashboards, trackers, and workflows using Airtable and Excel • Present data clearly and visually to summarize issues and proposed solutions • Manage operational communication with U.S. customers, distributors, and partners • Handle emails, follow-ups, timelines, and coordination with a high level of professionalism • Clearly summarize problems, root causes, and recommended actions for leadership • Support customer service and order-related coordination as needed • Use AI tools (ChatGPT and similar) to improve workflows, communication, and analysis • Be highly tech-savvy and comfortable adopting new tools and systems quickly • Continuously improve operational processes and documentation • Operate with a high sense of ownership and accountability • Be proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented in a fast-paced startup environment • Support cross-functional needs as the business scales

Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in an operations-focused role (inventory, supply chain, planning, or forecasting)
  • Experience managing short shelf-life or perishable inventory
  • Hands-on experience working with Airtable
  • Experience working with U.S. customers and U.S.-based clients
  • Excellent written and spoken English (emails, summaries, presentations)
  • Strong Excel skills (forecasting, planning, tracking)
  • Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
  • Highly tech-savvy, comfortable using AI tools and modern software
  • Comfortable working US Central Time hours
  • Experience in food, CPG, manufacturing, or consumer products (Nice-to-Have)
  • Startup or high-growth company experience (Nice-to-Have)
  • Familiarity with inventory forecasting, production planning, or demand planning systems (Nice-to-Have)
