Cloud Application Security Engineer

Veeam Software

• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing of Veeam products and services • Work with development teams to integrate secure development practices into the software development lifecycle • Collaborate on the design and implementation of security within public cloud environments • Threat modelling and design reviews for new and existing Veeam products • Conducting manual source code security audits • Using automated application-analysis tools

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in application security
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, or AWS
  • Experience with multiple programming languages (such as C/C++/C#/JavaScript)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as ARM/Bicep, Terraform or Ansible
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, preferably Jenkins
  • A good understanding of the principles of secure software development
  • A desire to develop in the field of application security
  • A lively and flexible mind, clear logic, and analytical skills
  • The desire and ability to work as part of a team
  • English proficiency for daily communication within international teams

Role Description The position of Application Coordinator is responsible for the design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of clinical and/or revenue cycle applications. Key responsibilities include: - Obtaining the appropriate Epic certification. - Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the software functionality. - Acquiring knowledge of the clinical or revenue cycle workflows to be implemented on the system. - Providing tier III level support of the Epic clinical and/or revenue cycle applications on a 24/7 basis. - Implementing configuration changes to the Epic system as approved by the appropriate committee. - Designing a future-state workflow jointly with clinical/financial department representatives. - Building the system to support the new workflow. - Establishing and maintaining critical business relationships with fellow Piedmont co-workers, physicians, and others who interact with the Epic application suite. Role Description The Fire Protection Engineer serves as the subject matter expert for fire and life safety systems, providing technical leadership in the design, review, inspection, testing, and compliance of fire protection systems. The role ensures adherence to applicable codes and standards while supporting facility leadership and project teams. - Design and evaluate fire protection systems including fire alarm, fire detection, sprinkler, suppression, and fire pump systems. - Perform hydraulic calculations, system layouts, and equipment selection. - Review architectural/engineering drawings and contractor shop drawings for compliance with model codes, local codes, and NFPA standards. - Conduct field surveys, system inspections, acceptance testing, and fire hazard analyses. - Develop and update life safety plans and fire safety programs. - Prepare technical reports and documentation related to fire protection evaluations, code compliance, and recommended corrective actions. - Provide technical consultation to architects, contractors, facilities leadership, and regulatory authorities. - Research codes and standards to support compliance strategies and alternate methods of design. - Perform hazardous materials assessments and evaluate fire resistance of building materials and structures. - Develop performance-based fire protection designs using fire modeling and egress analysis tools. - Develop and deliver fire protection training materials and sessions. - Support procurement, installation, modification, and maintenance oversight of fire protection systems.
