WordPress Developer

• Maintenance, further development and long-term optimization of our WordPress website • Implementation of design and UX requirements in close collaboration with Marketing, Product and Content • Development of custom features, Gutenberg blocks and WordPress plugins according to current WordPress guidelines • Creation and customization of WordPress themes • Performance optimization, bug fixes and refactoring • Ensuring and continuously improving accessibility and technical SEO • Integration and maintenance of tracking solutions (Google Tag Manager) • Implementation of marketing campaign requirements (e.g. landing pages, conversion optimizations) • Documentation and maintenance of internal WordPress extensions and repositories for design settings • Collaboration with stakeholders and team.blue across various areas • Contributing to the strategic development of the web architecture and technical standards
Job Requirements
- Deep WordPress knowledge and hands-on experience developing custom WordPress themes, Gutenberg blocks and plugins following WordPress standards and best practices
- Proficient with PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (+ React), with experience in both front-end and back-end development
- Experience with Git-based workflows and version control in collaborative development environments
- Nice to have: experience with performance optimization, technical SEO and accessibility
- Familiarity with managing Google Tag Manager and tracking integrations
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams (Marketing, Design, Product) and, if applicable, external service providers
- Fluent German and very good English skills
