Engineering Manager, TechOps CICD SDA

• Lead and develop a distributed team of DevOps engineers focused on mission-critical CICD automation • Align, guide, and empower engineers to automate and manage critical processes, optimize CICD tools usage, and integrate build/test agent provisioning systems • Establish and cultivate key relationships with other leaders across the organization • Investigate and evaluate next-generation technologies to inform future roadmap goals • Analyze project requirements and prioritize work based on urgency and criticality • Triage support tickets to ensure proper prioritization and resolution • Help resolve and unblock escalated issues affecting delivery workflows • Drive continuous improvement in software delivery processes and automation • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a build engineer or software engineer
  • 3+ years of engineering management experience in a large-scale environment
  • Experience leading distributed teams across multiple time zones
  • Expertise with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) at scale
  • Experience with CICD automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Expertise in Jenkins pipeline code using Groovy, including shared libraries
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure provisioning (VMware vCenter, Terraform, Packer)
  • Experience with enterprise-grade configuration management tools (Ansible, Salt, Chef, Puppet)
  • Familiarity with Git repository solutions (Bitbucket, GitLab)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Python, Go, PowerShell)

Role Description Daniels Health is looking to add a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Manager to manage and oversee the maintenance of plant machinery and operations within all Daniels Health sites in North America. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical, mechanical, and boiler equipment used in manufacturing. The role includes travel and on occasion short notice support to sites when emergency situations arise. The candidate shall have a strong background in maintenance and improvement of production equipment, and the ability to develop a sound knowledge of the working operations of a medical waste processing center. Responsibilities - Assume ownership of and improve the Maintenance department’s programs, SOPs and KPIs. - Track, analyze, and improve location’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to make recommendations for improving plant operations, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and maintenance problem resolution. - Design, implementation, and compliance of computer maintenance system (Maintain X) procedures and preventative maintenance scheduling. - Provide personal, hands-on and remote leadership, training and support to the business operations & maintenance technician staff. - Conduct onsite audits and inspections of the program to ensure compliance. - Develop a sound knowledge and complete understanding of the equipment owned and operated by Daniels including but not limited to: Boilers, autoclaves, washlines, compactors, and robotics. - Oversee planning and scheduling of preventative maintenance. - Develop and manage plans for plant equipment & maintenance processes to ensure sites meet uptime requirements and minimize maintenance costs and downtime. - Design and implement effective machine upgrades and modifications, to achieve improvements in reducing maintenance cost and equipment downtime. - Review the operation of equipment with appropriate personnel to identify maintenance issues in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity and Customer Satisfaction. - Manage vendor selection and negotiation for the outside service of key plant equipment. - Coordinate & verify work and quality of service performed by outside vendors. - Provide timely technical support to maintenance and operational staff. - Maintain a sound knowledge of OHSA regulations and display a superior commitment to workplace safety. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering required. - 5+ years of relevant experience in managing a maintenance team, ideally in a multi-site environment. - Background and experience integrating CMMS with machine PLCs, HMI’s and IIOT sensors. - Strong data analytic experience utilizing MS Office Suite. - Must understand maintenance management systems and processes, preventative and predictive maintenance, manufacturing technologies, and standard software applications. - Requires strong communication, math, organizational, and analytical skills. - Knowledgeable with hands-on boiler operating experience. - Hands-on electrical and mechanical experience with the ability to identify electrical issues, communicate fault conditions, and make repairs & improvements. - Ability to plan and design modifications on equipment to improve reliability or operability. - Ability to troubleshoot via remote connections & telephone support to find faults or technical issues of machines and remotely coach employees or contractors on repairs.
