Role Description SCRUM MASTER Turn complexity into clarity and deliver innovative applications as a SCRUM Master at GDIT. Here, you’ll support our customers’ most important missions with smart, scalable solutions while we support you in growing and developing your technology career. As a SCRUM Master, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Department of War. You will play a crucial role in facilitating scrum events, removing blockers, and enabling the team with Agile practices for high-quality delivery. - Guide scrum-team through all sprints of a program increment, removing impediments and championing the team - Organize and facilitate sprint planning and release planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other agile related events - Track and communicate team metrics and sprint/release progress to all teams and management - Assist the scrum team in developing and estimating user stories that are clearly articulated with well-defined acceptance criteria - Update agile tracking systems to provide transparency on product and sprint backlogs - Assist with internal and external communication - Assist product owners with backlog grooming - Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition - Determine and remove impediments that interfere with the ability of the teams to deliver assigned goals - Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution - Promote continuous improvement and help teams to increase velocity - Promote a collaborative team environment that fosters experimentation, creativity and innovation Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, and work experience - Experience leading Agile Scrum teams in a cloud environment - Strong understanding of DevSecOps and/or software/application development processes - Advanced knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques - Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills - Experience with Atlassian Agile Products; specifically, JIRA and Confluence Requirements - 5+ years of related experience - Secret Clearance Required - 5+ years of SCRUM master experience working within the DoW or IC Community - Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification Benefits - Comprehensive benefits and wellness packages - 401K with company match - Competitive pay and paid time off - Full-flex work week to own your priorities at work and at home - Award-winning culture of innovation and a military-friendly workplace
