Commodity Manager
Bruker
• Create and execute commodity strategies that best leverage supplier capabilities and the company’s procurement spend • Lead a commodity team to optimize and rationalize our supply chain • Develop strong relationships with suppliers • Liaise with product management and production planning to drive timely procurement • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems for procurement activities • Coordinate on-site supplier visits, assessments, audits • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Design Engineering to source, select, and establish new suppliers • Negotiate and create global supply agreements with key partners • Manage and develop the commodity team • Ensure KPIs and metrics are tracked and reported • Generate analyses and reports using ERP (SAP) and Excel
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, engineering, business, or related field (Engineering strongly preferred)
- Minimum 12 years’ experience in manufacturing environment, including 10 years in purchasing or supply chain
- Minimum of 5 years of strategic supplier sourcing analyses and execution
- APICS or CPM Certification strongly preferred
- Strong working proficiency with Microsoft Office, including expert level functionality with Excel
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working within and between ERP systems (SAP preferred), and analytics software (PowerBI, Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud, etc.)
- Knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others
- Strong technical and business knowledge of buying and sourcing in the segment served
