Payroll Implementation Manager
Deel
• Responsible for overseeing the successful implementation and data migration of payroll systems for Deel’s clients. • Lead and manage the full payroll implementation process, ensuring clients’ data is accurately transferred, systems are properly configured, and the transition is seamless. • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, guiding clients through setup and migration phases. • Work with onboarding team and clients to organize and run kick-off meetings. • Support project review calls, coordinating and delivering on project streams. • Define and set-up agreed client payroll processes, managing payroll calendar timely and effectively. • Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans and status reports. • Define, agree, and configure all interfaces, reports and systems to deliver payroll. • Work with clients to sign-off on projects and document specific needs and processes. • Act as the point of contact for all payroll project matters for the client. • Regular status reporting to senior leadership, taking ownership for escalating issues. • Lead the end-to-end implementation of a global payroll system, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. • Gather key requirements from clients and guide them through onboarding process. • Ensure payroll processes adhere to local tax and labor laws. • Oversee migration of payroll data from legacy systems to new payroll system. • Develop and execute comprehensive testing plan to resolve system issues.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance across Poland.
- Experience with payroll systems and software.
- Client-facing project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Update ePro based on feedback from ePro inspection process if applicable. - Provide support on end-to-end audits as needed to review disjoints in source documents and assist Implementation Manager. - Work fallout reports including DocGen and No Schedules Found and coordinate with Implementation Manager on maintenance activity/updates needed based on review of fallout. - Attends and participates in team meetings, ongoing forums, training sessions, and other meetings to enhance continuous knowledge for the role including assigned courses through Cigna University. Key Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED required, advanced degree preferred. - 3+ years detailed knowledge of Cigna's administrative capabilities including benefits, eligibility, ID cards, billing and banking required. - Ability to effectively solve issues to resolution. - Ability to establish matrix partner relationships and follow through on expectations. - Demonstrated sense of urgency resulting in the ability to influence the organization to meet and exceed client expectations. - Strong analytical mindset, with ability to design, track, and work toward specific measurable performance targets for self and team. - Three plus years of project management experience preferred. - Preferred minimum five years' experience with multiple software and system-based applications, including database and spreadsheets (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, tracking systems). - Strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills to effectively communicate and interact with all levels and functions within the organization. - Ability to manage multiple and divergent priorities and deadlines, work independently and pro-actively, negotiate and manage expectations for mutually acceptable solutions. - Demonstrated success in negotiations and ability to influence internal/external constituencies. - Demonstrated leadership and motivational skills in fast-paced environment. - Demonstrated interpersonal skills. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 55,700 - 92,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
