Strategic Sourcing Manager
WOW
• Executes enterprise strategic sourcing savings goals for the company and implement action items to ensure that those goals are achieved year over year • Use data analytics, industry benchmarking and strategic sourcing methodologies to provide guidance in the development and execution of sourcing and category strategies, contributing to improved profits and cash flows • Develop, manage and execute key initiatives, serving as the primary liaison between Legal, Finance, IT, department business units, project managers and other key business partners in the end-to-end strategic sourcing process including category analysis, supplier selection, and complex contract negotiation • Lead negotiations with suppliers on a variety of contracts, to ensure maximum value and minimum risk • Manage suppliers to ensure they can meet requirements and provide scorecards monthly to ensure suppliers are meeting expectations in quality, delivery and cost metrics • Select suppliers through robust supplier selection process and deploy risk mitigation techniques to ensure effective continuity of supplier • Responsible for negotiations for best possible cost service/product guarantee and develop “win-win” strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers • Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models • Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities • Lead or assist with short-term and long-range planning through category management and sourcing processes aligned with the strategic business goals of the company • Establish and communicate strategic sourcing policies and ensure compliance • Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the organization through category management and process efficiencies • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field of study
- Minimum 7 years strategic sourcing experience
- 3+ years of relevant category management experience
- Fortune 500 sourcing experience supporting categories in excess of $15M to $25M annually (any category) preferred
- Demonstrated success in sourcing, negotiating and delivery of complex contracts required
- Strong knowledge of legal and technology related contract terms and conditions
- Ability to manage multiple categories including but not limited to IT hardware/software, Professional Services, and all indirect categories
- Strong preference for category and contract management experience
- Proven ability to deliver year over year cost reductions for an enterprise
- Experience implementing policies and procedures for a strategic sourcing organization
- Ability to manage projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria) across multiple internal and external business partners
- Knowledge of the legal terminology and language related to supplier and/or vendor agreements and contracts
- Experience implementing policies and procedures for a strategic sourcing organization
- Must have excellent presentation and communication skills
- Advanced systems skills and working knowledge of MS Office, with advanced Excel knowledge

About the role: As a Manager, Procurement Contracts, you will lead an international team of contract professionals. This team is responsible for the development, application, and administration of contract terms and conditions (T&Cs). You will protect Westinghouse's commercial interests and support internal/external customers and projects. You will report to the Director of Global Contracts in the Legal & Compliance department and work remote. 100% Remote role. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - 10+ years experience in contract analysis, contract management, with terms and conditions (T&C), project / risk management, engineering and commercial procurement disciplines. - Experience managing people and teams. - Working knowledge of commercial practices, risk assessment and mitigation principles, contracting structures and legal/contract terms and conditions, corporate/ legal and compliance policies. - Understanding of the nuclear industry preferred. - We prefer procurement project management and major contract negotiation in the power market. - Project related experience in the fossil or nuclear power plant market and supplier/subcontractor terms and conditions experience preferred. - 15% travel to support contract negotiations or meetings with other Westinghouse partners.
