Why This Role Exists Frontier Psychiatry is expanding access to behavioral health care across rural communities through a combination of clinical services and federally funded grant programs. Programs like MappNet, PRISM, and Beyond The Weather support primary care clinicians in treating youth and perinatal patients with behavioral health needs—extending psychiatric expertise into communities that need it most. This role exists to serve as the operational backbone of these programs—ensuring they run smoothly, meet all requirements, and continue delivering meaningful impact. This is also a long-term growth opportunity. As grant programs evolve over the next few years, this role is designed to transition into a Business Development position, supporting Frontier’s broader growth strategy. Role Description Drive innovative course leadership across the HREE program suite, ensuring high‑quality, place‑based curriculum and exceptional learning experiences for postgraduate students. The appointee will lead the Healthcare in Remote and Extreme Environments courses, including short courses and award courses at the Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master’s levels. They will oversee annual quality review cycles in accordance with UTAS Quality Assurance; Partnerships; and Compliance policies and ensure the integrity of the HREE program in accordance with national competencies. The appointee will work closely with the Director of Postgraduate Programs and Associate Head (Learning & Teaching) to ensure high-quality learning experiences through appropriate place-based curriculum. They will lead collaborative, consistent and collegial approaches to course design and delivery and will support collaborative and applied research in HREE encompassing varied methodologies in alignment with the strategic research priorities for UTAS Health. The appointee will be responsible for line management of academic staff working within the HREE suite of courses and will facilitate a culture that fosters staff wellbeing while enabling us to achieve our collective mission. What you’ll do: - Lead in the development, design, planning, and teaching of the HREE courses and units, including the development of course learning outcomes. - Work with Unit Coordinators to ensure unit learning outcomes are aligned with course learning outcomes. - Work with Unit Coordinators to ensure assessment is constructively aligned with Intended Learning Outcomes. - Implement course improvements in response to course performance and student outcomes, student satisfaction results, student complaints, academic integrity breaches, and professional and academic developments in the relevant field(s). - Make judgements relating to complex student matters including transition and entry to university, credit, cross-institutional enrolment, and recognition of prior learning. - Equip staff and teams to work safely, effectively and efficiently, by supporting, training, supervision, and mentorship. - Provide excellence in leadership to support our people to perform at their best, through motivating and providing development opportunities to achieve high performance. - Enable an environment where teams are encouraged to positively intervene and empowered to make improvements to our systems and operations. - Ensure each staff member has role clarity (both broadly and specifically). Code Clubs are run by teachers, educators, and volunteers from all walks of life and take place in schools and community settings, like libraries, museums, and maker spaces.  Reporting to the National Program Manager, you will play a key role in expanding and sustaining this network across the United States. You will work directly with school districts, community organizations, and other partners to help them set up and run Code Clubs.
