About the Role: Form Health is building a clinical-grade care platform that powers longitudinal obesity and cardiometabolic treatment at national scale. The software we build directly impacts how clinicians deliver care, how teams coordinate work, and how patients experience safe, effective treatment. We’re hiring a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a small (but growing) team responsible for delivering high-impact systems that support clinical workflows, operational tooling, and intelligent care delivery. In this role, you will combine strong people leadership with technical depth. You’ll guide engineers working on complex, safety-sensitive systems—ensuring reliable execution, thoughtful architecture, and incremental delivery in a regulated healthcare environment. This role will report into our Senior Director of Software Engineering, but will partner closely with product, clinical, and operational leaders to translate evolving care needs into scalable software. This is a fully remote role open to candidates located anywhere in the United States. What you will do: Team Leadership & Execution Lead, coach, and grow a small team (2-3 people initially) of engineers delivering business-critical clinical and operational systems Establish clear goals and execution plans aligned with product and company priorities Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement Provide direct feedback, mentorship, and career development for engineers at multiple levels Hire thoughtfully to strengthen team capability and long-term scalability Technical Leadership Guide architectural decisions for backend services, workflows, integrations, and internal tools Partner closely with Staff engineers to ensure systems are reliable, scalable, secure, and maintainable Maintain strong technical fluency across systems built with technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Node.js, GraphQL, React / Next.js, and AWS-based infrastructure Ensure healthy CI/CD pipelines and safe deployment practices that support incremental delivery Identify technical risks early and lead mitigation strategies before they impact care delivery Clinical Workflow & Intelligent Systems Oversee development of systems that support clinical charting, scheduling, task management, care coordination, automation, and intelligent workflow enhancements Ensure systems operate safely within healthcare constraints and regulatory requirements About You You are an experienced engineering leader who blends hands-on technical depth with strong people leadership. You’ve managed high-performing teams and guided engineers through the delivery of complex, production-grade systems. You bring experience such as: 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams Prior experience as a senior or staff-level engineer before moving into management Leading delivery of complex backend or workflow-heavy systems in production Operating in fast-moving or high-growth environments where priorities evolve Establishing strong engineering practices around incremental delivery, feature flags, testing, and operational excellence Partnering closely with product and domain experts to shape execution plans Communicating effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders Encouraging teams to thoughtfully leverage AI-powered developer tools to improve productivity while maintaining strong engineering rigor Experience in healthcare, clinical systems, workflow tooling, AI-enabled products, or other regulated domains is a strong plus, but not required Your Impact Your leadership will directly shape how Form Health delivers care at scale. • Lead, develop, and retain a team of 10+ software engineers; set clear goals, grow careers, and foster an inclusive, high-performance culture. • Own multi-quarter roadmaps for the Single Retailer Experience, delivering measurable product impact, reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency. • Partner with adjacent Shopping Experience teams to design platform capabilities and APIs that enable rapid experimentation, long-term maintainability, and adoption across stakeholders. • Engage deeply in technical execution—review designs and code, guide architectural decisions, define SLOs, establish observability standards, and oversee on-call and incident response. • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data Science to prioritize impact, land cross-org initiatives, and deliver consumer features such as Nutrition Scores, allergen indicators, and healthier alternatives. • Prioritize and manage inbound requests across a horizontal surface area; create clarity, sequence complex programs, and deliver outcomes in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities.

• Own Databricks platform strategy: architecture decisions, Unity Catalog migration, cost optimization, and operational excellence. • Drive data pipeline development: real-time and batch pipelines using PySpark, Spark Structured Streaming, and Delta Lake. • Establish data quality standards: validation frameworks, monitoring, alerting, and SLA management. • Partner with Data Architects to translate Enterprise Data Models into performant physical implementations. • Integrate streaming infrastructure: Kafka-based event-driven ingestion and processing. • Build reporting capabilities: dashboards, KPIs, and self-service analytics for internal and client-facing use. • Drive data storytelling: executive presentations, client reporting, and strategic business insights. • Develop metrics frameworks: campaign performance, audience quality, and platform health KPIs. • Support ad-hoc analysis for campaign optimization and business questions. • Lead and grow DE and Analytics teams: hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career development. • Coordinate with offshore partners to extend team capacity and manage distributed development workflows. • Partner cross-functionally with Data Science, Product, and Client Success to align data capabilities with business needs. • Champion engineering best practices: code reviews, CI/CD, testing, documentation, and observability.

• Drive ML/AI strategy: audience propensity models, lookalike modeling, and segmentation algorithms that improve campaign performance. • Own ROAS optimization: develop and refine models that maximize return on ad spend for clients. • Build production ML systems: feature engineering, model training, batch/online inference, and serving infrastructure. • Establish MLOps practices: model versioning, monitoring, drift detection, and reproducible training pipelines. • Champion experimentation: A/B testing frameworks, statistical rigor, and data-driven decision making. • Lead and grow the Data Science team: hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career development. • Partner with Product and Client Success to translate business requirements into ML solutions and communicate model capabilities. • Coordinate with Data Platform team to ensure reliable data foundations and feature pipelines for modeling. • Translate complex ML concepts into actionable insights for business stakeholders and executives. • Set technical direction and foster a culture of innovation, rigor, and continuous improvement.
