• Design and implement features for eliciting, aggregating and visualising coherence rules across forecasts, including causal/correlational relationships, martingale processes, necessary/sufficient conditions, etc. • Develop intuitive interfaces that make complex forecast relationships and world models accessible to non-experts • Build AI-powered tools for world model elicitation and legibilization, including autonomous coherence rule detection and latent variable suggestion systems • Integrate new capabilities into the main Metaculus platform and potentially build stand-alone tools for specialised use cases • Ensure high code quality, performance, and reliability across all implementations

• Collaborate with other developers, staff and leadership to design solutions that solve customer problems • Design, develop, and maintain technical solutions • Build and improve tools for users to understand and analyze large-scale data • Perform debugging, troubleshooting, modifications and testing of software and solutions • Develop documentation, and collaborate in the development of technical procedures and user support guides

• Lead the design and development of core platform features using Python and an API-first approach • Build scalable, reliable backend services that power our applications, integrating seamlessly with a modern cloud-based architecture • Implement front-end features and help manage a growing React project in TypeScript • Collaborate with design and product teams to ensure that what we’re building is scalable, maintainable, and secure • Contribute to infrastructure and deployment workflows in our AWS serverless environment (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB) • Independently lead proof-of-concept projects and tackle complex architectural and engineering challenges • Other duties as assigned
