Basis Technologies
• Design, implement, and maintain highly available distributed infrastructure supporting the Basis DSP platform • Operate and optimize systems processing hundreds of billions of daily transactions • Drive automation and infrastructure-as-code practices to improve operational efficiency • Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting across critical production systems • Perform performance analysis and system tuning across Linux, networking, and application layers • Lead incident investigation, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements • Ensure security, resiliency, and scalability across infrastructure and services • Partner with software engineering teams to improve system reliability and deployment processes • Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production systems
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering
- Strong Linux systems expertise (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS or similar)
- Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, SaltStack)
- Strong understanding of system scalability and high availability architectures (clustering, partitioning, load balancing)
- Experience troubleshooting complex production issues across system, network, and application layers
- Programming or scripting experience (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Experience operating database systems (MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Experience with monitoring, observability, and alerting systems
- Experience managing infrastructure in cloud environments (AWS, GCP) and on-premises
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
