The Estimating Center of Expertise is looking for an Experienced Mathematics and Modeling Estimator to join our Independent Estimating Team, this role will be fully remote. This challenging role supports development and maintenance of independent cost estimates for Boeing Defense, Space & Security and Boeing Global Services within the Estimating Center of Expertise (ECOE) in Finance Shared Services. The role is responsible for generating Independent Cost Estimates (ICEs) in support of strategic proposals, Estimate at Complete (EACs) and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) to support and inform strategic decisions (bids, analyses of alternatives, etc). The role also builds, matures, and enhances our independent cost estimating database and methods while building and maintaining collaborative relationships across the ECOE and other Boeing organizations. This role supports multiple Boeing platforms by analyzing data and modeling costs, while working with Finance and Technical teams, and presenting findings to executives. Key tasks include the creation and maintenance of predictive cost models, performing risk analyses, and building and using parametric models and tools (e.g., SEER, TruePlanning). The work requires creative problem solving, advanced statistical analysis, clear data-driven communication, formulating problems in mathematic terms, and contributing to the strategy for the organization. • Write high-quality code for complex scenarios with good test coverage. • Review and translate product requirements into robust designs to ensure high-quality distributed application systems that are modular, configurable, maximize reuse, and are fast, effective, user-friendly, secure, compliant, scalable, and maintainable. • Lead design and code reviews of multiple applications to ensure best practices, adherence to Mercury standards, and high quality. • Lead multiple sprint teams within the same product area to deliver new or improved features, addressing any impediments in delivering high-quality solutions for items in the product backlog. • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders as necessary to ensure overall successful delivery of the intended functionality. • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers across multiple teams within the same functional area, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within Mercury engineering. • Collaborate with product managers to estimate effort, prioritize work, plan, and deliver prioritized roadmap items.

• Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using .NET and .NET Core. • Implement queries and stored procedures in PL/SQL for integration with Oracle databases. • Develop and maintain custom reports using JasperReports. • Develop and consume RESTful and SOAP APIs for system integrations. • Participate in code reviews, following clean code best practices. • Maintain technical documentation for developed solutions. • Collaborate with the DevOps team to implement automation and CI/CD when required. • Keep up with the evolution of used technologies and suggest improvements. • Hold meetings with the business area to understand the scope of requests or advise them on system usage. • Provide training on system processes.
