Principal Technical Project Manager

• Leverage clinical trial expertise to proactively define and document effective project objectives and strategies with clients, partners and colleagues • Direct project efforts and teams towards successful fulfillment of contractual obligations, oversee consistent compliance with regulatory and operational policies and procedures, mentor junior PMO staff and cultivate productive communication channels among all stakeholders • Partner with PMO management to develop and support the customer success model by monitoring current client needs and identifying future business growth opportunities, supporting business development goals by presenting at bid defenses, sales demonstrations and governance meetings, and maintaining positive working relationships with client representatives
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred, in a health sciences or analytic discipline
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or in process preferred
- 10+ years of project management experience preferably in a clinical, biomedical, or software environment preferred
- 5+ years in Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry or equivalent senior consulting role managing large complex clients/multiple projects preferred
- Experience managing employees desired
- Proven expert at managing highly complex and high-profile clinical projects while also serving as client advocate and success manager
- Experience independently identifying and implementing process efficiencies and quality improvements within the PMO
- Experience setting operational standards and best practices that prove and promote the value of eCS project management services
- Expert with Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Teams, etc.) and collaborative platforms like MS Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint
- Working knowledge and commitment to PMI and industry best practices, methodologies, principles and tools
- Highly experienced in managing projects that focus on technical deployments, system implementations, and data management and reporting
- Working knowledge and some experience with ICH/GCP guidelines, 21 CFR Part 11, clinical trials methodology, CRO partnerships, EDC systems (Medidata, Rave) and biostatistical visualizations
