Systems Analyst
Blue Water Thinking
• Monitor and analyze electronic healthcare data exchange processes within the VA Payer EDI environment • Investigate transaction failures, batch processing errors, and system integration issues • Query backend databases using SQL to analyze transaction data and diagnose issues • Review system logs and operational reports to identify patterns or recurring failures • Perform root cause analysis and develop remediation recommendations • Support operational troubleshooting between VA systems and external provider networks • Collaborate with development teams and agile scrum teams to support issue resolution • Document findings and provide recommendations to improve system reliability and performance
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or related field
- 5–7 years of professional experience in systems analysis, IT operations, or data integration environments
- Experience working in federal government contracting
- Experience working with relational databases and writing SQL queries
- Experience troubleshooting system integrations or data exchange environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to review system logs, transaction data, and operational reports to identify issues
- Strong people skills
