Role Description The Lead R&D Engineer will spearhead the design, development, and validation of medium voltage power distribution products, overseeing a team of engineers to deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-effective solutions. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced engineer seeking both technical challenge and leadership impact. - Lead the design, analysis, and validation of medium voltage power distribution systems, including metal-clad and metal-enclosed switchgear. - Manage and mentor a team of engineers and designers, providing guidance, performance feedback, and career development support. - Oversee new product introduction (NPI) projects to ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality benchmarks. - Conduct peer reviews, provide constructive technical feedback, and implement process improvements to minimize design errors and optimize performance. - Collaborate with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and aligned with project goals. - Track project metrics, address technical challenges proactively, and facilitate communication across multiple engineering sites. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; MSME preferred. - 10+ years of experience in R&D, product development, or related roles within the power distribution industry. - Strong expertise in medium voltage power distribution systems, including electrical, thermal, and mechanical design considerations. - Proven leadership experience with a track record of mentoring teams and fostering innovation and continuous improvement. - Proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D drafting tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD; CFD or FEA experience is a plus. - Familiarity with IEEE/ANSI, CSA, EEMAC, and NFPA70E standards is highly desirable. - Experience managing multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, design-to-order or custom engineering environment. - Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication across teams. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; MSME preferred.
