Role Description We are seeking a Data Analyst III to play a pivotal role in building a modern, standardized data foundation that powers insight and decision-making across the organization. This role will focus on ETL design, data standardization, and metric governance while supporting dashboard development and mentoring a Jr. Analyst. Working closely with the VP of Analytics & AI, this individual will help transition the company’s current SQL data lake into a scalable, governed, and analytics-ready platform that supports AI and machine learning initiatives. Key Responsibilities - Own and maintain core reporting tables and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and consistency across all business functions. - Collaborate with department heads and the VP of Analytics & AI to identify business needs, define metrics, and standardize reporting practices. - Oversee dashboards and reporting outlines, delegating updates and visualization tasks to the Jr. Analyst while ensuring quality and consistency. - Design and optimize data pipelines within the existing SQL data lake, preparing for migration to Microsoft Fabric. - Support the development of ML/AI data readiness, ensuring ETL pipelines and datasets are structured for advanced analytics. - Lead data governance initiatives by defining table naming conventions, key business metrics, and data documentation for organization-wide use. - Mentor Jr. Analyst on reporting techniques, data literacy, and technical best practices. - Partner cross-functionally with business leaders to deliver actionable insights and data-driven recommendations. Success in the First Year - 6 months: Stabilize and improve all critical reporting tables and ETL accuracy. Establish reporting standardization across departments. Help onboard Jr. Analyst and Data Engineer; prepare datasets for AI readiness. - 12 months: Deliver validated ML/AI-integrated datasets and leadership data self-service capabilities. Establish governance framework and clear roadmap for 2027 reporting and analytics improvements.
