About Us Hovercraft is a dynamic and innovative creative design firm that partners with brands to craft compelling experiences through design, strategy, and technology. We specialize in creating standout visuals, interactive digital content, and impactful branding solutions that push the boundaries of creativity. The Role Hovercraft is looking for a creative Senior Spatial Designer to create brand experience work for retail pop-ups, brand activations, and workplace design. This is not a traditional retail fixture role. Applicants with multidisciplinary abilities in other creative mediums such as graphic and/or animation are encouraged to apply. Your portfolio should demonstrate excellent design execution, a high level of taste, and strong creative conceptual thinking. Our typical work is within sportswear, fashion, sport, music and outdoor industries. Candidates should be strong communicators, able to collaboratively work in a team setting and consistently want to push the boundaries of what’s possible to create industry leading work. What You’ll Do - Collaborate on concepting and ideation to shape the consumer journey and experience. - Develop designs through mood boards, sketches, 2D/3D layouts, and material palettes; rendering skills a plus. - Create environmental graphics, scenic elements, and merchandising details that bring spaces to life. - Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure clear communication, quality execution, and smooth delivery. - Present work to clients and teammates, incorporating feedback and occasionally traveling for site visits or installs (1–3x per year). What We’re Looking For - 5 - 8 years of experience in a similar role - SketchUp as a primary tool - Proficiency in Figma and/or Adobe Creative Cloud - Rendering skills are a plus - Strong portfolio showing solid fundamentals, attention to detail, inventive design thinking and high-level execution in brand experience work - A collaborative team player that is highly motivated, pro-active and positive. - Excellent organization and time management skills to meet deadlines across multiple projects in a remote work setting. - Illustration, animation or spatial design side hustles The salary range for this position is $90,000 - 110,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits. Salary is determined by a combination of factors that include qualifications, applicable skills, relevant experience and other budgetary considerations such as location/geography. Hovercraft is a remote-first company, working primarily on Pacific and Mountain time. You must be eligible to work in the US.
