Senior Engineer, Energy Efficiency
EnergySolutions
• Provide oversight and guidance for engineering support across multiple energy efficiency programs, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables • Serve as a primary point of contact with clients regarding engineering requirements, progress, and outcomes • Prepare and review engineering calculations to ensure accuracy and appropriate documentation • Develop new energy efficiency measures and present proposals to clients for consideration • Interpret and monitor relevant codes and regulatory requirements across states, identifying and implementing necessary measure updates to ensure compliance • Lead the execution of one to two market studies or technical projects annually • Conduct engineering analyses to assess the market potential of emerging energy efficiency technologies • Perform cost analyses of energy-efficient technologies to support program design and implementation • Evaluate the market and technical feasibility of measures, including their suitability for midstream energy efficiency programs • Manage budgets for market studies and related technical projects • Provide cross-functional engineering support within at least one technology or domain area • Collaborate on interdisciplinary engineering efforts within at least one technology or domain area • Share updates and insights from cross-cutting engineering initiatives through departmental presentations • Design and deliver technical trainings focused on technologies and energy savings strategies • Provide mentorship and development opportunities for junior engineering staff
Job Requirements
- A Bachelors’ degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, environmental, architectural, or related field)
- A minimum of 8 years’ of engineering or work experience in related area OR graduate degree with a minimum of 6 years' of professional work experience
- Knowledge of Title 24, ASHRAE 90.1, IECC, and other energy codes
- Demonstrated ability to write reports, technical papers, and provide technical presentations to knowledgeable audiences
- Project management experience including budget development and management
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Willingness to conduct occasional business travel
