Full-Time, Remote-Friendly Position Position Overview We're seeking a talented and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our creative team. You'll be responsible for creating compelling short-form and long-form video content across multiple platforms, with a primary focus on social media reels and YouTube. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-visibility projects with significant reach—our channels collectively have over 1.1 million subscribers. Core Responsibilities - Create compelling, on-brand short-form video content for social media platforms (Facebook/Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) following monthly content outlines and brand guidelines - Ensure all videos meet platform-specific specifications (aspect ratios, duration, file formats, captions) - Produce and optimize long-form YouTube content using established templates and best practices - Review raw footage and select the best shots to assemble into coherent narratives - Ensure strong pacing, continuity, and storytelling principles are maintained throughout each edit - Implement creative editing techniques, transitions, and effects to enhance visual appeal and emotional impact - Maintain consistency with brand identity and style guidelines across all projects - Create engaging video content for branded marketing funnels and promotional materials - Examples: VSLs (Video Sales Letters), upsells, downsells, lead generation content - Stay informed about the latest YouTube trends, algorithm updates, and platform best practices - Incorporate feedback and revision requests from internal stakeholders - Manage multiple revision cycles while maintaining quality and deadlines Our Platform Presence You'll be editing content for: - 2 Facebook & Instagram Pages: ~400K subscribers each - 1 YouTube Channel: ~1.1 M subscribers View all accounts: https://linktr.ee/sveltesocials Required Qualifications - 1-3+ years of professional video editing experience - Advanced proficiency in video editing software, Adobe Premiere Pro - Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including: - Adobe Premiere Pro – Primary video editing software - Adobe After Effects – Motion graphics and visual effects - Adobe Media Encoder – Export and format optimization - Strong understanding of social media platform requirements and best practices (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) - Proven experience creating short-form vertical video content (Reels, Shorts, TikToks) - Excellent eye for visual storytelling, pacing, and color grading - Experience with motion graphics, visual effects, and sound design - Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Preferred Qualifications - Demonstrated experience growing YouTube channels or social media accounts - Experience editing workout, fitness, or wellness-related content - Knowledge of performance marketing and conversion optimization - Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) for thumbnail creation - Portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of editing styles and formats Key Skills & Competencies - Technical Proficiency: Expert-level editing software skills with knowledge of color correction, audio mixing, and format optimization - Creative Problem-Solving: Ability to adapt editing style to match campaign goals and audience preferences - Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to quality assurance and consistency across projects - Communication: Clear communication with team members regarding feedback, timelines, and project requirements - Adaptability: Comfortable working with feedback and revisions; ability to pivot quickly based on performance data - Deadline Management: Proven ability to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality What We're Looking For - Passion for video content and staying current with platform trends and algorithm changes - Growth mindset: Eager to learn, experiment with new editing techniques, and continuously improve your craft - Data-driven mindset: Interested in understanding what makes content perform and optimizing accordingly - Collaborative spirit: Willing to work cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and operations teams - Self-motivated: Able to work independently and manage your own workflow with minimal supervision How to Apply To apply, please submit the following: - Resume and cover letter highlighting your video editing experience to donna@sveltetraining.com - Link to your portfolio, Vimeo, or YouTube channel showcasing your best work (minimum 3-5 videos) - Brief statement (1-2 paragraphs) explaining why you're interested in this role and what attracted you to our brand - Optional: links to any social media accounts or channels you've contributed to
