Role Description Barracuda is looking for a senior, hands-on analytics specialist to help shape the future of enterprise analytics. This is a Principal-level individual contributor role focused on building trusted, scalable analytics and evolving our capabilities toward automated, AI-assisted insights delivered directly to business users. This role is a hybrid of a developer, analyst, and strategist. - Develop a framework and distribution model for Enterprise Analytics at Barracuda, including the use of AI tools when appropriate - Partner with Data Engineering to design and build analytics-ready data models in Databricks using modern architecture patterns - Own and evolve Power BI semantic models and Enterprise Reports, including DAX measures and governed datasets across pipeline, bookings, renewals, ARR, and other critical metrics - Build time-aware analytics such as cohorts, retention, expansion, and customer lifecycle views - Help develop agentic and conversational analytics using Copilot Studio, including automated insights and metric explanations - Partner directly with business stakeholders to translate questions into trusted, actionable insights - Establish best practices for metric definitions, documentation, and analytics governance Qualifications - 8–12+ years of experience in analytics, BI, or analytics engineering - Deep hands-on experience with Databricks, Power BI, Excel, DAX and the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem - Experience working in a SaaS company - An understanding of a channel-first and Renewals business model - Strong foundation in dimensional modeling, semantic layers, and time-based analytics - Demonstrated experience or a strong understanding of AI-assisted analytics, Agentic development, conversational BI, or Copilot-style experiences - Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders Benefits - A team where you can voice your opinion, make an impact, and where you and your experience are valued - Internal mobility – there are opportunities for cross training and the ability to attain your next career step within Barracuda - Equity, in the form of non-qualifying options - High-quality health benefits - Retirement Plan with employer match - Career-growth opportunities - Flexible Time Off and Paid Time Off benefits - Volunteer opportunities
Job Requirements
- 8–12+ years of experience in analytics, BI, or analytics engineering
- Deep hands-on experience with Databricks, Power BI, Excel, DAX and the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem
- Experience working in a SaaS company
- An understanding of a channel-first and Renewals business model
- Strong foundation in dimensional modeling, semantic layers, and time-based analytics
