• Create, implement, and iterate on a range of real-time visual effects that meet the aesthetic, gameplay, and technical goals of the project • Take ownership of VFX for key features or gameplay systems, ensuring clarity, responsiveness, and emotional impact • Collaborate with Design, Engineering and Art disciplines to reinforce player experience • Profile and optimize effects within performance budgets across target platforms making improvements where needed • Contribute to improving workflows, pipelines, and documentation for the VFX team • Provide constructive feedback, and share knowledge with other VFX artists to maintain a high craft bar • Iterate effectively based on playtests, cross-discipline and player feedback
• Leading the Core Tech team to deliver reliable, high-quality engine systems, tools, and frameworks that support our creative and technical goals. • Owning technical direction and execution for core engine work in Unreal Engine 5. • Contributing directly to engineering efforts, providing hands-on implementation, architectural guidance, and problem-solving where it adds the most impact. • Driving predictability and clarity by partnering with the Project Engineering Lead and production to plan work, manage priorities, and proactively address risks. • Supporting and growing engineers through mentoring, feedback, and clear expectations. • Championing performance and technical health across platforms, ensuring systems meet performance targets and scale with the needs of the project.
• Work closely with other disciplines to anticipate and identify both potential and observed product defects • Generate high quality bug reports and verify bug fixes • Cultivate subject matter expertise on assigned features and disperse knowledge to QA team members • Identify and flag risks to agreed-upon quality bars for assigned features • Generate test cases for assigned features and create supporting QA documentation as needed • Support the release process across all required platforms with build verification testing and investigation of community-reported issues • Facilitate internal playtests alongside other members of the QA team
