Role Description This internship will be remote work with the Quality Improvement (QI) and Real-World Evidence team at T1D Exchange. It will engage with real-world data platforms and leverage clinical datasets, using implementation science approaches to support population health research. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to work closely in the healthcare space while collaborating with a dynamic, highly interdisciplinary team. The intern will develop skills in quantitative and predictive data analysis using big data to advance diabetes care. What you'll do - Assist in developing statistical analysis plans for manuscripts and abstracts - Conduct predictive analytics and develop machine learning models to generate insights from electronic medical records from our QI database - Identify and propose new areas of study aligned with the organization’s mission, informed trends in the type 1 diabetes community and internal data - Assist in the preparation of a manuscript or abstracts for presentation at scientific conferences Qualifications - Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Engineering, Computer science, Mathematics, or related field. - Practical knowledge in predictive analytics including conducting linear and logistic regressions - Experience coding in systems like R or Python - Experience with data management and relational databases - Ability to clearly present data summaries using visual formats (graphs, figures, and tables) - Strong written and verbal communication skills

The intern will develop skills in quantitative and performance improvement analysis and will be expected to take initiative by completing the design and implementation of the QI Team’s 2026 Annual Survey. What you'll do · Support the QI team on ongoing initiatives · Assist in developing statistical analysis plans for QI projects · Perform data analysis to generate insights from endocrine centers’ data and clearly communicate findings · Identify and propose new areas of study aligned with the organization’s mission, informed trends in the type 1 diabetes community and internal data · Assist in the preparation of a manuscript or abstracts for presentation at scientific conferences Qualifications · Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in statistics, data science, or a related quantitative field · Practical knowledge in quantitative analytics · Experience designing surveys (e.g., skip logic, branching, etc.) · Experience with data management and relational databases · Ability to clearly present data summaries using visual formats (graphs, figures, and tables) · Strong written and verbal communication skills · Enthusiasm for working in and learning about healthcare and quality improvement

About the role This consultant will develop and support clinical reporting scripts for T1D Exchange in collaboration with multiple healthcare providers within the United States. The role will work across various Epic modules to design, build, validate, and optimize clinical reports that support quality, compliance, operational efficiency, and clinical decision-making. This fully remote role is ideal for a seasoned Epic professional who thrives in a flexible consulting environment and enjoys partnering with diverse clinical and operational teams. What you'll do Primary Responsibilities: · Collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders across multiple health systems to understand reporting needs. · Design, build, and maintain Epic clinical reports using tools such as: o Reporting Workbench (RWB) o Radar dashboards o Clarity & Caboodle (preferred) o SlicerDicer · Translate business requirements into scalable, accurate reporting solutions. · Perform data validation, testing, and documentation for all deliverables. · Provide subject matter expertise on Epic data structures, workflows, and reporting best practices. · Support ad-hoc reporting requests and ongoing optimization initiatives. · Communicate progress, risks, and timelines clearly with project teams. Qualifications Required Qualifications · Epic certification in one or more reporting-related areas (e.g., Clarity, Caboodle, RWB, Cogito). · Minimum **3–5 years of Epic reporting experience within clinical domains. · Strong understanding of Epic data models and clinical workflows. · Proficiency with SQL and data validation techniques. · Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently. · Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills. · Experience supporting multiple health systems or consulting clients. · Familiarity with quality reporting and regulatory programs. Work Structure & Compensation · Project-based expected engagement of 10–30 hours per week, · Flexible, project-based assignments. · This is a non-exclusive engagement · Competitive hourly rate based on experience. · Fully remote role (North America only). · $75 - $125 per hour.

• Dissemination & Scientific Communication: Lead preparation of study documents, reports, and scientific outputs, including abstracts, manuscripts, and conference presentations. • Ensure analytic results are clearly summarized and communicated for diverse audiences, including researchers, clinicians, funders, and collaborators. • Contribute to and uphold best practices for scientific reporting, documentation, and reproducibility across analytics projects. • Analytics Leadership & Project Oversight: Provide leadership for analytics, including prioritizing work, and aligning analytic approaches with research goals. • Ensure the quality, consistency, and timeliness of analytic deliverables produced by the team. • Supervise, mentor, and provide training to analytics staff, supporting professional development and effective collaboration. • Develop and oversee statistical analysis plans for applied real-world and QI studies, using established and appropriate analytic methods. • Serve as the primary analytics point of contact for selected external collaborations, including partnerships with physicians, industry, nonprofits, and academic investigators. • Facilitate a cross-functional committee focused on data quality and standards in collaboration with physician co-chairs. • Serve as Principal Investigator on grant-funded and selected sponsored projects.
