The Role We’re looking for someone to take an already well-established sports betting brand to the next level of its journey. You’ll play a key role in strengthening our position in the mature Canadian market, while also supporting the continued growth of our other English-speaking markets within the sports betting industry. This is an opportunity to work on high-impact content and campaigns that bring a proven product to new audiences around the world. As a core member of the team, you’ll contribute to both commercial and informational pages - driving traffic, engaging users, and generating meaningful revenue for the wider business. The Role Legend is hiring a Senior Software Engineer reporting directly to our Senior Engineering Manager. This is an opportunity to shape the technical foundation of a high-growth product in the social gaming space — a market scaling rapidly worldwide. You’ll help design and implement the backend and platform architecture that powers real-time tournaments, delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing systems players rely on. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality solutions while applying modern practices like Domain-Driven Design, SOLID, and GRASP. Your Impact - Design and implement application architecture that is scalable, maintainable, observable, and high-performing. - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. - Conduct code reviews, review architecture, and contribute to engineering best practices. - Identify and optimise performance bottlenecks across systems. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features. - Ensure application security, implementing safeguards against vulnerabilities. What You'll Bring - Proven experience delivering large-scale systems in production. - Strong grounding in Domain-Driven Design, API-first architecture, and software design patterns. - Proficiency in JavaScript (React/Next) or another backend language, ideally Node.js or PHP. - Experience with Pub/Sub, websockets, and Server-Sent Events (SSE). - Preferably, experience with MySQL and creating white-label products. - A strong product engineering mindset — able to translate requirements into technical designs and ship features end-to-end. Role Description Legend is hiring a Software Engineer in our SquadIntel team, reporting directly to our Senior Engineering Manager. You will support an in-house built, business intelligence platform that is used by hundreds of stakeholders across our whole business daily to make data driven decisions on product strategy and direction. This is a small team that moves fast to drive the success of our entire product portfolio, so we’re looking for Python Backend Engineers who are excited to help Legend hyper optimise our brands and content.
