Role Description This position provides support for the school district’s virtual learning program, ensuring the effective organization and operation of virtual instruction and related services in support of the District’s mission. - Supports the development, communication, implementation, and evaluation of a shared vision of high-quality virtual teaching and learning that leads to improved student outcomes. - Collaborates with school administrators and counselors to ensure that virtual students’ academic and non-academic performance is communicated, monitored, and supported. - Facilitates instructional and support activities assigned within the virtual learning environment. - Gathers, analyzes, and uses a variety of academic and non-academic data to inform planning and decision-making for the virtual program consistent with established policies and procedures. - Assists in developing and implementing virtual master schedules, including the coordination of staff assignments, student schedules, and overall instructional planning. - Coordinates required state and local assessment procedures for virtual students, including participating in district training, facilitating teacher and staff training, communicating with testing coordinators, and ensuring compliance with testing protocols. - Fairly and consistently assists with evaluating assigned personnel in accordance with state and district guidelines and provides timely, constructive feedback focused on improving student learning. - Communicates and collaborates effectively with all stakeholders, including students, families, virtual teachers, counselors, school administrators, and district staff. - Collaborates with district leaders to ensure alignment of virtual curriculum, instructional resources, and student support services with district expectations and state standards. - Supports the development and maintenance of procedures, handbooks, and communication tools specific to the virtual learning program. - Completes and submits required reporting. - Keeps immediate supervisors informed of all facets of assigned responsibilities. - Adheres to local, state, and federal policies and regulations. - Completes other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Must have a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Education or a related field. Advanced degree a plus. - Five years of teaching and successful experience is preferred. - Must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia teaching certificate. Requirements - Must have ability to apply teaching and learning principles to support the understanding of learning and behavior. - Ability to relay technical information to others in understandable terms. - Ability to work effectively with diverse populations. - Ability to write professional correspondences and reports. - Ability to effectively present and articulate information in one-to-one and group situations to students, parents, school personnel, and community agencies. - Must have knowledge and understanding of general statistical procedures. - Ability to collect and analyze assessment data, predict outcomes, formulate strategies for obtaining a desired result, and report/present findings in print and chart/graph. - Must be able to facilitate the problem-solving processes and use deductive reasoning. - Must have ability to synthesize workable options from given facts and assist in the development of workable solutions. - Must effectively organize, plan, and prioritize work. - Must have considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office and other job-specific technologies. - Must be capable of interacting and communicating effectively with district employees, stakeholders, community members, and the general public using tactful and helpful customer service. - Must serve as a role model with desirable personal characteristics. - Appropriate dress and grooming consistent with established standards required. Physical Demands - Regularly required to walk, stand, and lift. - Occasionally must crouch or kneel. - Must be able to exert or lift up to 50 pounds. Work Environment - Frequent travel involves exposure to traffic and outdoor elements. - The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Confidential Data Exposure - Exposure to confidential data is inherent to this position. - Confidentiality must be maintained regarding financial and personal information. Additional Requirements - Must be at work on time. - Must meet attendance standards. - Must conduct activities safely. - Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations.
