Role Description As a Performance Data Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting and developing meaningful benchmarking insights across the South West. You’ll work with complex datasets, design engaging dashboards, and support decision-makers at all levels with high-quality analysis. Working closely with the Performance Data Lead and wider expert teams, you’ll contribute to innovative approaches to data use—helping organisations compare, learn, and improve together. What You’ll Be Doing - Analyse and interpret performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities - Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for a wide range of stakeholders - Collate, clean, and prepare data from multiple sources for analysis - Present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences - Support the development of regional benchmarking frameworks and outputs - Collaborate with technical specialists working in Azure, SQL, and reporting systems Qualifications - An experienced data analyst with strong skills in performance analysis and reporting - Confident using Power BI to create engaging, user-focused dashboards - Skilled at communicating complex data in a clear, compelling way - Detail-oriented with strong data preparation and quality assurance skills - Comfortable working collaboratively across teams and organisations - Experience within public sector data (e.g. Children’s Services, Education, or Health) would be advantageous—but not essential.
